Safety.

We have comprehensive Risk Assessments for all of our activities. We have Safe Systems of work for many of our activities in the field. Safety briefs and supervision are key elements of our courses. We maintain the ratio of 10 pupils to 1 leader.  You will be given our Genera Outdoor Learning Risk Assessment with the Launch Pack.

We use walkie- talkies while I the forest, and both the instructor, and one of the students are equipped with the walkie-talkie. This is to strengthen verbal communication and listening skills of our students. The Police, local hospital In Syców and Fire Brigade in Syców have been informed about the camp, so they can get to us within approximately 15 minutes.

In the unlikely event of severe weather conditions we can easily move to our base (Radzyna 70), which is a country house located only 1,5 km from the camp.

Basic rules.

The students are required to follow all the instructions given by the leaders. This is to guarantee they and their peers safety during the activities. Nuts are banned on the camps due to the severe threat they pose to those suffering from nut allergy. We do follow parents’ and guardians’ guidance regarding their child dietary needs, this is why we would like to ask you to not give any food to your child as it may harm others in the event of sharing.

Contact.

For the sake of safeguarding we have banned mobile phones, smartphones and laptops on the camp. You can call us at any time during the camp on our mobile phone which will be provided with the Launch Pack. You can also skype us or use messenger to contact us as there is internet available. You are also invited to come and visit us at any time without notice. Detailed instructions of how to get to our base are given below.

Our Staff.

The leaders of our camps have all attended in-house training on all aspects of outdoor education skills and the trust’s procedures. They have teacher’s training and passed the enhanced CRB check (zaświadczenie o niekaralności). They all have been trained in 1st Aid and received relevant certificates.

Accommodation.

The students sleep in tents or shelters and sexes are always separated. The camp leader and instructors will be always sleeping in the center of the camp with a lit lantern so that in the event of any student needing assistance during the night, they need only walk to the light and find our staff.

How to get to our camp?
It is quite simple. The best way is to type in Google Maps "Radzyna". The option Radzyna (Drołtowice) will appear, and this is the place you are looking for. As you can see below it is easy to get here off S8 highway.
When you get to the hamlet (Radzyna is actually a hamlet) you have to follow directions to The Profit furniture factory. Pass the factory and there will be a crossroad with a huge cross. One of our instructors will be waiting there every Monday between 9-12 throughout the whole summer. If you are late you can follow the road signs with "Go Wild Learn Outdoors Camp". The camps end on Sunday 3PM. You can collect your child from the same place around 4PM. If you are early or you want to visit your child and need more guidance you can visit us for a tea or coffee in our base in Radzyna 70.
